Happy President's Day!

Happy President's Day! For those of you who still have to work this week, here are a few President's Day ideas for you...

This is actually an activity that we used for Veteran's Day, but it would certainly be a great one for Valentine's Day too. I cut out red, white, and blue hands, but certainly, you could have the kids trace and cut their own out as well. Then, we wrote anything related to each student's goals on the hands. In the picture, you can see that a few students were working on /r/. My language students were also working on describing items with attributes, stating similarities and differences, and determining a category given 3 items that belonged to the category. Obviously, you can really use this activity for any artic and/or language goal, so go to town incorporating your own goals! Here's a picture of the finished product.
