Screeners and Informal Assessments Round-Up and a {GIVEAWAY}!

Back. To. School.

Whether that fills you with a little bit of excitement, a little bit of dread, or both, it's back to school time!  Don't worry though, a bunch of my blogger/material-making friends and I have tons of informal assessments and screeners to ease you back into the swing of things!  There's something for every need - and all TpT items are on sale August 4th and 5th!  Read on to check out all of the fantastic products and then enter to win an AMAZING giveaway!!

My "Common Core Based Language Assessment" is an informal language assessment based off of the common core, for K5-5th grade students.  Each grade level document features 8-10 questions that can be used to determine useful, individualized goals for each student.  Appropriate answers are given from kindergarten through 3rd grade.  Answers are not given for the 4th and 5th grade assessments since these students are more adept at reading and the assessment could be given in written form to students in those grades.

You can find this informal assessment HERE!

  4. All great informal assessments! I really like the 2nd Grade Speech and Language Checklists because language is so vital to all of my students.

  5. I like the social/pragmatic rubrics because that is such a tough area to assess. The SALSA screeners with the pictures that can be accessed with an iPad are great! That is so helpful when traveling to various screening sites. Also, anything that is based on the Common Core standards is going to be helpful when relating goals back to the classroom. Thanks! I am filling up my wishlist!

  16. I have a few of these already and love them (Jenna Rayburn's Kinder screening, Nicole Allison's Curriculum Based Language Assessments, The Speech Bubble's Listening Comprehension Screenings, and All Y'all Need's Checklists for grades K, 1, and 2) and they are really helpful. Jenn Alcorn's Common Core Speaking & Listening Rating Scales {K-5} has been on my wish list and I think that SLPRunner's Social Pragmatic Rubrics (Student Directed) looks really useful too. I like that the students judge their own progress in each area.

Having a collection of these tools would help to streamline the screening and assessment process for sure! Thanks for the list!

  41. I really need screeners and assessments for the pre-K crowd. while primarily a service provider, we've started doing our own assessments as well. Sometimes I need to know how to refine goals for a small friend, sometimes I need an idea of whether he'll qualify for other area or not.

  42. I think I am more interested in the informal assessments than screeners but would love to add all of these tools to my toolbox!!! Thank you for the giveaway!!!!
